Use this tool to arrange Wublin Island layouts for My Singing Monsters.

Features include:

  • Easily move Wublins around a grid to arrange your island.
  • Easily visualize polarity. (green is positive, red is negative)
  • Toggle polarity amplification levels.
  • Your layout saves automatically and can also be imported/exported. (Windows download only)

Controls:

  • Navigation: WASD/Arrow Keys or drag the screen
  • Click a Wublin's icon on the left to spawn it in.
  • Click and drag Wublins to move them around the grid.
  • Click the numbers on the left to change polarity amplification level.
  • Click on a wublin to cycle through states.
Dormant: Its color will be set to grey and not be affected by other wublins, but will still affect their polarity.
Statue: (only for common wublins): It will not positively affect the polarity of other wublins but still be affected itself. (the purpose of this one is to be able to plan ahead but still have a setup work in the meantime)
Trashcan: A state unique to the trashcan. It will destroy wublins that overlap with it. Click on a trashcan to destroy it.
  • Use export button to be able to copy your layout somewhere else (Windows dwnload only)
  • Paste a save into the same box and click import to override the current layout. (Windows download only)

The tool auto-saves, but itch.io will reset any saved data whenever I update it.

Pro-Tip: The Wublins are ordered in the list based on positive polarity. So Brump is first, it likes fleechwurm, which likes Pixolotl, which likes Scargo, etc. Poewk is at the end and it likes Brump. Monculus and Wubbox are not affected by polarity.

This tool has been a great help for my Wublin Island!

I have a feature request: would it be possible to add layouts for the other islands with draggable monsters & structures to make grid planning easier?

I've thought about doing that, it would take a lot of work if I still wanted it to have likes and everything, each island would need its own stuff to be put in. The most likely ones I'd make tools for other than wublin are the islets, since grid placement can be important for likes if you don't have the primordial yet.

This is a very useful tool, however I do have some feedback:

  • The epic wublins will probably have the same polarity stats as the commons and rares (ex: Epic Brump will be positive towards Epic Fleechwurm, but will be negative towards Epic Blipsqueak), yet the released epic wublins are not affected by polarity if they're placed near a common/rare that affects the other forms of those monsters (ex: Epic Dwumrohl should have a 0.25 positive polarity if placed next to a common Astropod)
  • I suggest replacing the Brump silhouettes in the epic selection menu with hue shifted versions of the Wublins with unreleased epics as placeholders or something like that, as the Brump silhouettes make it a bit hard to tell what monster you're actually selecting
  • When you select the Brump silhouette in the epic menu that's supposed to be where Epic Monculus is, Rare Monculus will appear on the layout, even though there is already an official design for Epic Monculus. Also, selecting the Brump silhouette where Epic Wubbox puts nothing at all in the layout, as apposed to Wubbox or Rare Wubbox as a placeholder, but I guess this doesn't really matter too much considering Wubbox doesn't have polarity, so you can just use the Wubbox/Rare Wubbox from the common/rare menus as a placeholder for Epic Wubbox instead
  • Find a way to indicate when a monster is overlapping another monster (like in the image below), as sometimes you may not be able to notice it if you aren't paying attention enough to the design

This is a good tool for those trying to organize their wublin islands to have the full collection, but I feel like some improvements such as these could make it even better :)

Thanks for your feedback!

You're correct about epic wublins having the same polarities as their common counterparts. However, if an epic wublin's like/dislike hasn't been added to the game yet, it won't affect it. (So since Epic Astropod doesn't exist yet, Common and Rare Astropod will have no effect on Epic Dwumrohl)

As of right now, I didn't intend for the greyed out buttons to do anything. This seems to be a bug leftover from when I copied the epic buttons from the rares. It's something I'll fix when I release the next update. (likely later today or tomorrow, since they just added new epic wublins)

I will consider adding an overlap detection feature, that sounds like something that will be useful.

why wont it work?

could you be more specific? It works fine for me in the chrome desktop and iOS browser.

ok, this is what it says: unable to parse build/html.framework.js.br!

If you're still having trouble with the browser version, there is a windows downloadable version now that should work.
